Mourner Crooney had the chance to create a universe,  he messed up. The only way to free the land from his curse is if The Truth Eater, a hero of prophecy, can destroy him. The only problem is: The Truth Eater sucks. So Mourner goes incognito as an assistant on the Truth Eater's quest to defeat him to make sure that his legend-foretold death will at least be a glorious one.
